holiday blog hop hostess gift handmade ornament gift bag using fiskars fuse coffee bags mini bottle christmas trees

For my project today, I decided that I wanted to create something little to have on hand as a last-minute hostess gift or to for when someone stops by to drop off a plate of cookies.  It is a small little ornament in a festive holiday bag.  Add in a mini-box of chocolate and it is a great gift for anyone this holiday season.

To start, I began with the bag.  I am using coffee bags.  I love these.  You can keep the window intact and fill it with fun little handmade cookies or muffins and then it folds over to seal shut.  I plan to cover the window this time, but the bags are just so nice to use.

Using the Fiskars Fuse Creativity System, I quickly cut and letter pressed a little plate for my bag.

I used some Smooch spray and some ink on the edges to add a little bit more texture to it.

I then trimmed out a 6×3 piece of paper, inked it and punched it with a border punch.

I added a bit of twine to add another little layer.

Once done, all of the pieces went onto the bag.

To create the ornament, all I needed was a blank photo ornament and a few small bits.

I put a round sticker inside and the hot glued on a little cardstock snowflake and mini tree decorated with twine.  Quick, simple, and cute!
