Well. I did it. I hosted our first in-home birthday party. We have always had kids parties, don’t get me wrong. I have just NEVER had them inside our house. That’s what the bowling alley and bouncy house places are for, right?
Jacob, however, wanted to host an art party, so that is what we did. I am sharing a few pics today and some more coming up… they are a bit out of order, but just wanted to share all of the goodies we did. The kids had a blast, Jacob was happy, and the house was still standing. That, in mind, is success.
I was lucky that a friend of mine sent me some awesome paintables from Colorbok for the kids to paint. They loved it. We made smock t-shirts (pics of that coming) for them to wear so that they wouldn’t mess up their clothes. This was the messiest part, but totally worth it and they loved it! Each child got to paint three little figurines. There were animals, transportation pieces, robots, aliens, and all sorts of good stuff. Jacob was thrilled because there was even an entire set of monkeys that needed a home. As a huge fan of monkeys (hence last years Paul Frank birthday party), he was ecstatic!
Anyway, here are a few pics and I will share more about the actual plan of the party soon!
