friday? huh? what? how?

friday? huh? what? how?

That is how I feel today…

This week has gone by in a total blur of meetings, appointments, phone calls, emails, and reports.  Suddenly I looked up an it was 5:00 on Friday.

I love my job.  I love my life.

I just wish some weeks I felt like I could stop and enjoy things and this was NOT that week.  With so many projects coming due all at once, I felt the pressure this week, which is something that makes you blink on Monday and wake up on Friday.

Well.

Now it is the weekend and we have more adventures and running around planned, so it will not be a chance to sit back and relax, but at least it will be time with my boys, for which, I am thankful.

Today I remember I am blessed in multiple ways, even if I don’t have time to always stop and remember and enjoy that.

Happy Friday!

some projects

some projects

that I have been working on…

Here is the rug that I learned how to make at The Chicago Quilt Festival…  it was a lot of fun and a lot of work!

It is now by my front door and I absolutely love it!!!

Now, here is another one I completed recently…

I have been making a lot of these types of things after reading an article in Country Living.  I was so inspired and thought, Why pay for it when I can make it?  So, I bought a BIG tube of E6000, went to Goodwill, and got to work!

This one is my favorite of all of these I have made.  It is an old silver plated candelabra, 5 mismatched plates, some pretties from 7 Gypsies, and some vintage ribbon and trims…  all together, it is super pretty and I can’t wait to use it at my upcoming event!!!

Finally, this was my deal of the day today!

I found this dress form at Michaels – 75% off!!!  I brought it home and decided to embellish it…  to match the rest of the decorations I am currently working on for Creating Faith.  I just love this!!

While I haven’t been scrapping lately, I have been doing some other stuff to keep my creative juices flowing…  it has been quick projects scattered in time, but I have truly enjoyed what little bit I have gotten to make.

I am super excited to present:

Creating Faith: The Worry Project!

Time to breathe.

Time to create.

Time to let the worry go.

Come and join us for a day of reflection and creation, while learning to let go of the worries that plague the life of the modern mother.

We will look at the worries that invade our lives, how to acknowledge them, and how to move past them to enjoy our lives .. right now .. today.

We will use discussion, as well as crafting, to address our worries and find a way to put them to rest, or at least make some peace with them.

Snacks, lunch, prayer, laughter, and creating included.

$35.00

Limited to the first 25 participants
