i am feeling like a slacker…

i am feeling like a slacker…

I have not posted in days and I did not weigh in to share that with you either!

Let’s just say that the flash floods, major storms, and tricky weather are reeking havoc on our CHA set-up and my life!

So…  here is what I can tell you…

I ate like a horrible girl today – gnocchi and cannoli’s at dinner…  yummo!!!  (but not good for the wasteline)

I walked, and walked, and walked, and walked some more, however, so I think that makes up for the gnocchi!

Our booth is coming along and I am excited to present at the JoAnn’s booth from 12-4 tomorrow at the CHA supershow and also teach tomorrow night as well!

Should be fun!  S

Saturday I will finish setting my stuff in the trade show booth and then head out to the World’s Largest Crop attempt hosted by Scrapbook Royalty.  That should be a blast!

Anyway, I will try to share some pics tomorrow night – maybe even a sneak peek of our booth if I can…  shhhhhh….

Okay, off to bed!

a pic from work…

a pic from work…

Last week, Jacob had to come to work with me on Monday because Matt had a job interview.  He was only there for a little while, but quickly made himself comfortable in a chair with all of his stuff.  This was my pic for Memorable Monday because it was just too cute!

I created this layout from this month’s goodies from The Girl’s Loft.

weighing in…

weighing in…

Two weeks ago I weighed in at 197.2.  This morning I was nervous to see if the calorie counting was working.  I have been using this great program – a free ap on my iPhone – called “Lose It!”  It is actually a really great ap and seems to be doing the job…

Today’s magic number?

191.7

Not too shabby.  I just want to break that 190 barrier.  I feel as if it taunts me in my sleep and at the fridge.

190 you are going down!

And, as added incentive, Matt told me that when I lose 10 lbs I can get the full subscription to Picnik instead of just the free one, which makes me smile even more…

I just love craft-based incentives!

Okay… now to get some work done!

memorable monday – the first project

memorable monday – the first project

Here is look at what I created from last week’s photo.  It was the first week and I felt pressured to take the perfect photo to share with all of you.  What I remembered was that it wasn’t about “perfect” but about “memorable.”  Is this the best photo – no.  Does it tell my story – yes!

I have loaded these on our flikr site - feel free to join in and share your there as well!  The more the merrier!

In fact, load a project before next Monday, and who know, maybe I will have a set of limited edition squeeze punches from Fiskars for you…  *wink wink*

Happy Monday!

a weekend of “work” – done!

a weekend of “work” – done!

Can I just say, that sometimes being a crafter is awesome. Yesterday was one of those days.  A magic box of goodness arrived on my door from a friend at Colorbok.  Sneak peeks of what is to come at CHA… and I get to share what I made and what they are launching…

Can you say “Woo Hoo?!?!?!?!!?”

So first, a sneak of my favorite of the four lines I got…  Woodhaven.  It is grays and blues and teals and greens…  little birds, great patterns, and just beautiful stuff!!!

To go along with the bird theme, I first created a bird house that I love – a lot!  I also did a layout of Jacob – pictures from him turning 4 that highlight his attitude and his super blue eyes!

More to come – stay tuned!!!!!!!!!

million pound challenge

million pound challenge

I have signed up.

Here is Wisconsin, one of the big gyms has created the Million Pound Challenge – for every pound of weight you lose, they will donate 10 pounds of food to our local Second Harvest food bank.

There are programs like this springing up all over the country.  For me it’s just extra motivation to continue on my healthy plan all while helping a great cause!

Are you in for helping Second Harvest?  If so, check here for more information on other possible programs in your area to help your local community as well!
