I need your help. I want to compile a list of some of your favorite and my favorite snack mix recipes to have as a free download here on the site.
I am looking for non-messy, not-to-greasy, fun and easy snack mixes.
Here is a new one I have been working on for the kids (I say that, but I eat it, too!)
Fish Food
-
1 cup regular flavor Goldfish crackers
-
1 cup pretzel Goldfish crackers
-
1 cup cheddar Goldfish crackers
-
1 cup plain cheerios
-
1 cup raisins
-
1 cup air-popped popcorn
Again, I know, healthier, but if I am making it for my kids, I want it to be! They would snack all day if I would let them, so when they do, I want to know what they are getting!
Anyway… if you have a great recipe, please share it here and I will randomly draw a winner for a fun snack bowl to hold your snack mix. Contest ends, Wed. March 19th!
We love
1 cup peanuts (salted or unsalted)
1 cup m&m’s
1 cup raisins
Mix together and eat.
Yummy, and now that I am talking about it I think when I go to the grocery store I will get the stuff to create this tonight.
Hi Stephenie
Just letting you know that the RAK you sent me arrived safe and sound in New Zealand.
Thank you so much, I can’t wait to use my new goodies.
PS what are gold fish crackers? Never heard of them and I am having visions of little gold fish flapping around in a bowl LOL

I’ve made this recipe several times in the past, usually at Christmas time. It makes a HUGE batch. I just store it in freezer bags and put it in the freezer. This would be a perfect crop food as you could make it in advance & have bags of it in the freezer waiting for the next crop.

I make this at least twice a week in my house. It is very easy, no real measuring.
Trail Mix:
Almonds – your choice of salted/roasted/etc
Sunflower Seed Kernels
Peanuts
Raisins
dried Cranberries
Raisins
I just pour it all into a bowl, mix gently and put in a canister. I also keep a small container of “mini” semi-sweet chocolate chips nearby for the kids and hubby to add if they want. Very Carb friendly, High in Protein and Fiber. Yummy!!

That sounds good! I don’t like raisins, so I may substitute M&M’s with that! (I know, it’s not that healthy, but I need some chocolate to it!)
I don’t have any good snack recipes…I’m going to keep looking on here for some good ones!
mmmmm!! yummy!!
Just a totally-yummy-not-healthy-in-the-least-bit snack mix.
Mix together:
Reese’s Pieces
Peanut Butter Chips
Cocoa Puffs Cereal
Golden Grahams Cereal
It’s like Peanut Butter Heaven in a bowl. LOL!
We have this at the day care that I work at
Bugels
Cheerios
m&m’s
Marshmellows
and sometimes chex
It is so good. The Bugels are good for the salt crave and then a little sweet part too!
I have a tonne…yes…almost a real tonne of Cherrios
…they were on $5 for 5 at Safeway…how could I say no?! I even had coupons…so I think I paid $3 for 5! Anyway, I am making this mix to take with me tomorrow:
hehe
- cherrios
- dried cranberries
- assorted m&ms (regular, peanut and cherry flavors)
Never had it before, but sounds yummy as I like all those things
i don’t do well with mixes. i tend to just eat the parts that i like the most. like the one that patti posted. i just eat the m&m’s and then i get yelled at. good luck!
