saturday – part 1

saturday – part 1

Saturday was a multi-level day, as I mentioned.

We started the day with kids, running errands and hanging out.  We had to drop something off at the doctor’s office, ran to the bookstore (where we found “Horton Hears a Who” and “Green Eggs and Ham” – very into Dr. Seuss after seeing “Horton” on Good Friday), then we ran to Starbucks.  The kids love it there.  I am not sure why, but they do.  I think it makes them feel grown up to sit there, in their chairs, with all of the adults.  This trip was different, however.  This time, instead of the chocolate milk in a box, they got hot chocolate in the cutest, tiniest coffee cups I have ever seen!  Too cute!

So, to mark this momentous occasion, I scrapped our trip to Starbucks!

Now, these Starbucks pics are from my phone… which is why they are a bit fuzzy.  I forgot my camera at home, but took them and then emailed them to myself.  They printed out fairly well considering…

More to come on Saturday fun…

sunday, sunday…

sunday, sunday…

Well, here it is, Sunday night, and I am printing out some pics from yesterday to scrap tonight and tomorrow.

I broke down and created a little scrapping corner in our bedroom… not sure how long it will stay there…  it is a little table, maybe 18″x24″, and under the windows.  By the time I put my stuff in there, well, let’s just call it snug.

Anyway, yesterday was a multi-layer day.  Do you ever have those?  The kind of days you look back on and wonder how on earth did you do so many different things in one day…  that was yesterday.  It was fun, long, and nice.  As I scrap the photos, I will share the stories from the day.

Here is a quick pic of Starbucks, one of our first stops of the day yesterday…

Also, quick reminder that the 1 Week challenge is up at Fiskateers.  Monday’s assignment is up and ready to rock!

Finally, tomorrow I will be shipping out prizes to everyone who is waiting on one.  I will post the list tomorrow of whose are going out, on the off chance I didn’t get your email or something.  Thanks all and I will talk to you tomorrow!

fridays…

fridays…

During the work week, I look forward to Fridays.  It is my day at home with the kids.  It is my day to kick-off the weekend.  It is my day to run errands, get ahead at home a little bit, and just be mom.

During spring break…  it is different.  It is the gong, indicating that break is almost over.  A regular weekend looms in the near future and then…  MONDAY!!!  Back to the grind, back to work, back to the regular life.

In an effort to kick-off next week’s return to regular life, I am doing a 1 Week Challenge over at the Fiskateer site.  Be sure to check in everyday, starting Sunday, for the daily assignments.  There is a bit of a sneak peek over there today…

Finally, stay tuned, because, as you all know I have been spring cleaning, so you never know what else I might have found along the way…

finally – a mini-book for my purse!

Now… as a mom and as a scrapper I know that I should have more than the pictures of my kids on my phone with me, but I don’t – ever!  I am terrible about bringing pics of them along and when people ask to see new photos of them, I am usually at a loss!  I think that is comes from creating 12×12′s of them and then blogging the pics of those.  I just assume everyone knows what my kids look like!  I forget that in my non-scrapping life, people can go longgggggg stretches without seeing an updated photo!

A few weeks ago, I found this cute little album at Hobby Lobby for 2.99 – what a deal.  It holds 16 4×6 photos – 8 on each side.  Monday, I packed it when I went scrapping and decided to play with it…  here is how it turned out!

Well, it is that time of the week again!  This week’s challenge – scrap your scraps!

As I go through my stuff, spring cleaning and purging, I have found things that I forgot that I even have!  I have some really cool things that will be wonderful bits to add to a page.  So as you plan to go cropping this weekend, be sure to look for and use some of those hidden bits that you had long forgotten about and create a fun project!

Email me a picture of it by Monday morning and I might just share it here on the blog!

Happy Cropping!
